Who We Are

WBLK Media is a balanced team that brings together the complementary skills of veteran journalist/author Warren Berger and longtime editor/new media specialist Laura E. Kelly.

Warren is known for making complex concepts accessible and interesting to general readers. He is author of several books, including A More Beautiful Question: The Power of Inquiry to Spark Breakthrough Ideas (Bloomsbury, March 2014) and Glimmer: How Design Can Transform Business and Your Life (The Penguin Press), which Business Week named one of the “Best Innovation & Design Books of the Year,” and co-author or ghostwriter on many more books.

He also writes for Fast Company, Harvard Business Review, and was a longtime contributing editor at Wired magazine.

Over the years, Warren has helped tell “the brand story” for companies such as Apple, Starwood Hotels, Virgin Atlantic Airways, and Samsung. He has also partnered on books with TBWA\Chiat\Day and Autodesk.

He is a regular speaker on the business circuit, making presentations on creativity at Microsoft and General Electric, among others.

A seasoned commercial nonfiction/fiction book and magazine editor, Laura was the longtime VP/global editor-in-chief of Reader’s Digest condensed books series, where she helped the company launch a number of business lines and new editorial products.

Known as “the eagle eye,” Laura’s editorial experience is in editing, clarifying, rewriting, and promotional copywriting. More recently, she has developed a specialty in new media brand building.

Laura advises authors, entrepreneurs, and companies on how to build and grow their digital platforms. That includes generating social media content in many forms, including online articles, guest blog items, Facebook posts and tweets, as well as creating SEO-rich micro-websites and custom ebooks for clients.
